Pine Ridge Gala Needs Your Support! (Mr. Mulligan Silent Auction Basket Idea)

Parents,

I am looking for a few families who want to help our class for the upcoming Pine Ridge gala. The whole school is going to be participating in this exciting event that will help us get a book room for all of our students. A book room is pure gold for teachers as it is a library with multiple copies of the same text that we can use to pull small groups, use as mentor texts, send as addition assistance, etc. The possibilities are endless, but Pine Ridge needs the community’s help in setting this up.

The PTCO at Pine Ridge Elementary is hosting an evening of glamour and giving on April 20, 2018. Our Great Gatsby themed Gala will have an auction benefiting our elementary school. Funds raised for this event will help provide a leveled reading room to better connect students of all reading levels. We are writing you today to ask for your assistance in reaching our goal of $20,000, the current estimated cost for completing the room.

Pine Ridge is counting on the support and generosity of corporate and local businesses to make this event a success. Please consider being a sponsor, making an in-kind donation, cash donation or experience to our live and/or silent auction this year.

In appreciation of anticipated donations, all sponsors will be promoted in our school’s blast (emailing approximately 700 Pine Ridge families), on our school’s website, through our PTCO social media and in the April newsletter distributed to all students.

Each classroom is doing something special. Many classrooms are creating a basket of goodies that can be auctioned off. Many amazing basket ideas have been scooped up already by other teachers, but Mrs. Gray (2nd grade B-track) and Mr. Mulligan want to team up and create a “His & Hers” basket idea. Essentially this would be a basket filled with stuff that either a man would be excited about or the same for a woman. Mr. Mulligan’s class is going to tackle the man’s basket. This can be organized and created to anyone’s ideas. I need a parent to organize this basket and accept any donations from other parents who want to participate in this. Ideas for this basket can be sports themed, BBQ themed, food themed, beverage (yes alcohol is fine!), cars, camping, gift cards to stores that would be popular with men, etc. I think this should be fun!! I have heard of similar baskets to this where inside the basket a couple of tickets to see the Avalanche or Nuggets are included – the possibilities are endless. ALSO, if you donate anything or have a corporation who wants to donate to our basket, I have a Tax ID you can utilize so it is more enticing for some businesses to donate.

If this is screaming your name and you want to help, please e-mail me!
